Successful Halloween weekend

After all the travel and going to see my Mom for the weekend of Halloween, I’m happy to say that it was a successful weekend, and I’m so glad that I travelled to see her. Nevermind the shenanigans that occurred that I told you previously would happen, Halloween is always what I bill it to be in my home, or with my friends. Why?

Because I choose to spend it with people who are like me and like to do the things that I do. Which is have fun, be a little (a lot) sarcastic, and get down to some super fun times.

My mom was super impressed with my costume, and I can tell you that I didn’t scare the absolute crap out of the kids like I said I would. I wanted to take it easy on them, because Mom requested that I not make her house the place where kids were crying on Halloween. I saw that as fair, and backed off a bit.

It was a tiring weekend, starting with pumpkin carving, and ending with all of eating a ton of candy on Saturday night, and drinking a bunch of beer in the process. We all woke up with beer and candy hangovers, and Mom even stayed awake a while longer than she normally does on Saturday to watch some movies with us while we foraged through all the candy that she bought.

All in all, this was a great weekend, and something that I have to do every year with my family, no matter if I like half of them or not.

They all kind of get on my nerves, but I know the feeling is mutual, and I can’t really complain about things if I’m an ass half the time, which I am.

Back to hanging at the house and the fam is coming down to see me in a couple weeks, which should be fun.

What was your Halloween like?
